Fox Predator Elite Fly, AFTM: 10, Length FT: 9FT

Our pike fly rod development programme has led to the production of this model which is ideal for the modern trend towards medium sized flies. These flies are far easier to cast and are still accounting for very large pike too. This blank has a fast action which has proved most suitable for these more manageable sizes of fly. It has the very light and crisp feel of a much more expensive rod and will prove less tiring to use than many other similar rods on the market. It will subdue big pike very quickly when used with a heavy leader and wire trace, eliminating excessively long fights which can lead to unnecessary stress to the pike. The rod was designed to respond best to a #10 line but will handle an #11 weight with ease.

Built using a combination of SLIK stripper guides and large snake rings to minimise friction and allow a silky smooth cast, the Elite Fly rod is a well balanced rod which may be used in virtually every pike fly fishing situation, from fenland drains to the large trout reservoirs. From floating lines for surface and sub-surface patterns, intermediate lines for working the upper to middle layers, and through to fast sinking lines for working the depths, this rod has been developed to handle them all. Featuring an Duplon overgrip should more leverage be required, this rod will also handle tougher sea fishing environments both at home and abroad.
